WHAT ARE FIXED & LINGUAL BRACES?
Fixed braces are more subtle – and more comfortable – than conventional braces used in the treatment of years gone by.
They straighten teeth extremely effectively. Ceramic fixed braces work equally well but their clear brackets make them even more discrete.
With fixed and lingual braces from Wytes you can:
Feel delight with a straighter smile
Wear discrete braces
Enjoy the uplifting benefits of straight, healthy teeth however old you are (this treatment is not just for adolescents)
Experience treatment from specialists
WHY FIXED BRACES & LINGUAL BRACES?
Lingual braces are hidden behind the teeth. Fixed braces are far more subtle than traditional braces.
As well as giving you more attractive teeth, braces also add definition to your face and your lips.
Orthodontic treatment can improve the position of the upper and lower jaws.
Our dentists provide outstanding dental care in an environment where patients feel comfortable and uplifted.

Are dental braces painful?
Braces can cause discomfort to begin with. This eases as you get used to wearing them.
Do braces affect eating?
Avoid hard or crunchy foods such as hard rolls or nuts until you have become used to wearing braces. Your specialist will advise you on eating with specifically tailored instructions for you.
Do I need to have teeth extracted before wearing braces?
You may need teeth extracted to create space to straighten your teeth, this can be assessed after a consultation with a specialist.
Can I wear braces if I have crowns?
This is usually not a problem, but this will need to be assessed after a consultation with a specialist.
How do I look after my orthodontic appliances and teeth?
It only requires a little more effort than brushing natural teeth. Your braces can trap small bits of food which can cause a build-up of plaque. Your specialist will advise you on how to take care of your braces with specifically tailored instructions for you.
