WHAT IS A DENTAL EXAMINATION?
During a check-up, our dentists will check for problems including gum disease and mouth cancer. Gum disease is a common problem, which has been linked to serious health problems including diabetes, strokes, heart disease and dementia.

Your dentist will evaluate your oral health and create a tailor-made treatment plan if needed.

An examination is not painful.
How long will my appointment last?
Examination appointments at Wytes usually take 40 minutes.
How often will I need a check-up?
For most patients, we recommend a check-up once every six months.
What if I haven’t had a check-up for a while?
A series of visits may be needed. When your oral health starts to improve, the visits will become less frequent.
