HOW DOES IT WORK?

Gumline re-contouring at Wytes

Step 1
Preparation

We give you a local anaesthetic to make sure you don’t feel any pain.

Step 2
Gum re-contouring

Your dentist will reshape excess gum tissue to reveal more of your teeth.

Step 3

In rare cases, we’ll need to remove some bone from the front of the tooth root to give you the optimal long-term results.

We give you a local anaesthetic so you shouldn’t feel any pain. The gums can feel sore after the procedure and we can prescribe paracetamol or ibuprofen. You can expect to be fully healed within days.

Be careful about what you eat in the days following treatment. Soft foods like eggs, pasta and soft fruit or vegetables are recommended. When your gums are healed, you can return to your normal diet.
