WHY DENTAL IMPLANTS?
You will feel surprised and energised when you see your new smile for the first time.
If you follow the advice of your dentist, your implants should last for a long time.
Missing teeth make eating difficult. Say hello to the joy of food once again.
ABOUT YOUR DENTAL IMPLANT
Once your implant has fully fused with the jawbone, we can place your crown.
Joins the crown to the dental implant.
The crown is created when the titanium implant integrates with the jaw.
DENTAL IMPLANTS TREATMENT JOURNEY
STEP 1
We begin by taking digital impressions and x-rays so we can plan treatment.
STEP 2
After giving you a local anaesthetic, we carefully place the titanium implant into the jawbone. The treated area is left to heal. It usually takes at least three months before it’s ready to support a dental crown. (Please note: Sometimes it’s possible to place the implant and the crown in one visit.)
STEP 3
We begin to get the implant ready for the crown. Your dentist starts by making sure the implant and the jawbone are bonding together nicely. At this point we’ll insert the abutment piece that will attach the implant to the crown. We then take impressions and send them to a technician who will engineer the ceramic crown to perfectly fit in with your existing teeth.
STEP 4
It’s a momentous occasion when we place your beautiful new tooth. It’s time to rediscover the joy of eating – and to start feeling confident about your smile. (Please note: Treatment timescales and details vary from patient to patient. This guide is for illustration purposes only.)

“The whole process was easy and painless. I'm very pleased with the final result and the whole experience. I can't recommend them highly enough.” Steven Johnston. Dental implants. Wytes Westcombe Park.
Do dental implants hurt?
We deliver these procedures after local anaesthetic so patients should not feel pain. Patients will feel some discomfort in the days that follow treatment.
Will my implants last for a long time?
Dental implants can last for years if you have a healthy, strong jawbone and if you take care of implants and crowns.
Will there be any complications with implants treatment?
In rare cases, the implant fails to integrate with the jawbone. The implant can then be removed, leaving the jaw to heal – and another implant can usually be placed.
How do I take care of my implant and crown?
Follow a good daily oral health care routine and go for regular dental check-ups. Your dentist will give your more in-depth advice.
Will dental implants affect my eating?
Yes. You can rediscover the joy of eating.
