WHAT IS COMPOSITE BONDING?
Your dentist will gently place composite resin to treat imperfections and restore your teeth. We’ll colour match the resin – the same material we use for our white fillings – to blend in with your teeth.
We can use this technique to restore teeth, change their size or close a gap. We can usually complete the treatment in one visit to Wytes.
With composite bonding at Wytes you can:
HOW DOES IT WORK?
We start by selecting resin that’s an ideal match for the colour of your teeth.
We’ll very lightly roughen the area to be treated and then condition it with a special liquid.
Your dentist will mould, shape and place the resin in thin layers.
We’ll use an extremely bright light to cure the bonding material before polishing for a smooth finish.

“The whole process was easy and painless. I'm very pleased with the final result and the whole experience. I can't recommend them highly enough.” Steven Johnston. Dental implants. Wytes Westcombe Park.
Is composite bonding treatment painful?
Bonding is the quickest, least painful cosmetic treatment. Drilling or injections are rarely needed.
Will composite bonding affect eating and drinking?
We advise our patients to wait for 48 hours before they eat dark foods or drink dark liquids.
Will it affect my speech?
Composite bonding should not affect speech.
Can you treat more than one tooth?
Yes. Many Wytes patients have bonding treatment on a number of their teeth in one appointment.
Can there be complications with this treatment?
You can usually avoid complications by looking after the treated areas. The bonding material is not as strong as a real tooth so avoid things like opening packaging with your teeth.
